Apple,Microsoft and Adobe subpeoned for Australian price fixing case


Ever wondered why some products are priced high in one market but are present at almost half the price at another? Well,this is what has led to inquiry by the Australian House Committee on the pricing structure .The inquiry started in the month of April 2012 has officially summoned Apple,Microsoft and Adobe .

The companies are going to be questioned on the methods, they use to decide the products prices in the country.The committee has found out a huge difference in the prices of the products in Australia and U.S. In one case,Adobe Creative Suite 6 costs $2700 in Australia but costs $1299 in U.S. Many are looking this as a positive move to put a stop on unfair pricing practices.The hearing is scheduled on 22nd March in Canberra.
