Phishing scam targeting Australian and New Zealand Banks


Phishing is an old trick to get the user details by every possible way,sometimes its the fake webpage looking similar to the financial websites et al.This time ,Australian users are under attack from similar tactic.They are getting fake email notifications warning that their Netcode security and sms services has been disabled .And they have to click on the link to reactivate the Netcode security token.

The phishing scam has been reported to be targeting Commonwealth Bank of Australia and ABS Bank.The fake notification was first reported by millersmiles website.

The emails reads like this:-

Dear customer,
Your Netcode Security has been disabled is an extra level of security used to double-check that it’s really you making transactions online. You are hereby advised to follow the Link below to Re-activate your Netcode Security token.
