The news of hackers attacking financial institutions is getting regular. Yesterday banks from Australia and New Zealand users were attacked by phishing scam.Today,Reuters reported that a major financial institution has been attacked by hackers. JP Morgan Chase was reported to be attacked by hackers stopping access to bank websites. US bank forewarned their customers about such an attack.
DDoS attack was used to disrupt the service stopping customers from accessing the website but the website was accessible from the mobile application. JPMorgan spokesman Michael Fusco said the company continued to work late Tuesday to restore normal service. The similar attack was reported in September by hacktivist group Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters.
