Surface Pro is facing a unique issue and making many users to hard boot the system. The system is not waking up from the sleep mode after pushing the window key.Microsoft community is filled with the angry users who want the system to work properly after paying $1000 for it.
One user posted the question in the Microsoft Answer which describes the problem:-
The problem is simple: let the device go into sleep/standby. It won’t wake up. I can feel a vibrate when I push the Windows button, but that’s it. I’m forced to do a hard reboot by holding the power button down for 10 sec to regain access to my machine.I have had it work, but it seems to have once again broken.
But still the question is how to fix the issue?. Simple!,change the power management settings of the system.
How to do that
- Open Device Manager from the Control Panel or however you normally open it
- Expand Network Adapters and double click Marvell Avastar 350N
- Choose the Power Management tab and make sure the checkbox is checked for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
And issue is fixed.
The Surface is also facing the wi-fi connectivity issue which has not been resolved even after Microsoft releasing the updates. And there is no word from Microsoft on the issue.Though, rebooting or re-switching from airplane mode seems to be working for many users.
