Bitcoin exchange Mt. Gox was DDoSed at 2am Japanese time by some unknown sources.
The website was experiencing downtime around 12 am Japanese time, but that time it was considered to be just a normal issue. As there was an increase in the no of accounts and high volume of trades. The company experienced the similar downtime on 18th April.
When the issue was investigated, it was found that the systems of the Bitcoin exchange were under systemic DDoS attack. The company posted the message about the same on Facebook and also tweeted about the attack.
They tweeted about 7 hrs ago that they can’t provide the updates at this time. Still there is no word about the status of the Mt. Gox.
