Wii U virtual console launched in U.S

Today, Nintendo released the updates for the Wii U system which would un-authorize the illegal modification done in the Wii U system in the future. The updates will also make the current illegal modified Wii U system non playable.

Along with these updates, Nintendo also released the Virtual console. Virtual Console, allows you to play all your games on TV or on a game pad , if the TV is not available with off TV play function.

Many famous games from Nintendo will be added to the Virtual Console.

Some of them are

  • Balloon Fight, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Excitebike, F-Zero,
  • Ice Climber, Kirby’s Adventure, Kirby Super Star, Mario Bros.,
  • Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario World, Super Metroid and
  • Yoshi

Games from Game Boy advance and Nintendo 4 games will also be ported to the Virtual Console.

Nintendo in the released post said,

Each game in the Wii U Virtual Console library has been developed to include off-TV play on the Wii U GamePad    controller, customizable controls, Miiverse community support and the ability to instantly save game progress.

People who have already downloaded these games to their Wii System can transfer them to their Wii U consoles and play them in Wii Mode at no charge.

The games for the NES and Super NES can be purchased at $1 and $1.50.
